TOLO TV announced leading telecommunications operator Roshan as the lead sponsor and energy drink Big Bear as the second sponsor of the extraordinarily popular talent quest “Afghan Star”, which will debut its highly anticipated 7th season on Friday 4th November at 9pm.
Sealing the partnership at TOLO TV headquarters in Kabul today, both sponsors will embark on a highly integrated, on-air and off-air campaign that will incorporate television and radio advertising, product placement, featured product promotions and competitions across traditional media, social networking and digital platforms.Roshan are sponsoring Afghan Star for the seventh consecutive year. “Afghan Star” blazed a trail of hopeful singing sensations back in 2005, when the country’s greatest ever talent show was launched. The show has since captured the hearts of Afghans by providing homegrown entertainment and a chance to engage all Afghans through its multiple voting platforms. It inspired a documentary with the same name, co-produced by Kaboora Production (the producers of “Afghan Star”), which went on to win two awards at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
