This is an online competition ONLY, but finalists have a chance to appear in the Afghan Star television finals in March. Read our terms and conditions here.
How to enter
1. If you think you have got what it takes to be an Afghan Star, but could not make the live show, you have a chance to participate in our special ONLINE ONLY contest! Record a short video with a short introduction about yourself in Dari or Pashto, as well as a song in any language. Your short intro should include your name, age, occupation, city and country of residence. Your video including the intro and song should be no longer than 5 minutes in length
2. Post the video on www.youtube.com, www.vimeo.com or any other video sharing site
3. Send the link to

After six successful seasons of Afghan Star, in which six finalists were selected among tens of thousands of participants, the judges this season will select from an even wider pool of talent. Eventually, the people of Afghanistan will get to decide who goes in to the final round and receive the ultimate crown of “Afghan Star”. If you are from Kandahar or Jalalabad and want to participate, it’s not too late. You have till Wednesday to register.
