This week one of our top 9 Afghan Stars will be cut from contestants. But before we get to announcing who will have to go home, we are treated to a performance by a special guest, Sharif Sahel. Sharif plays a mix of famous songs that warm up our audience and the contestants. Our first Afghan Star performance this week is from Dawood Pazhman and Anahita Olfat. Anahita says she sees this duet as a challenge because it requires her to learn a new style from what she’s used to. They play a calm song different from the usual dance-pop fare, as do our next duo, Hosam Farzan and Sohrab Elyar. Ustad Shahla is impressed by their performance.

Nayeb Nayab and Rabiollah Behzad perform a Pashto song called “Toor Setargi Khomari,” which our judges enjoy. Arash Barez, Nazir Heydari and Haroon Anwari perform a song together next, our first trio of the season!

Finally it’s time to reveal who is going home - Haroon Anwari. He performs his last song for us and then it’s time to say goodbye. Stay tuned for next week as we are down to our top 8 contestants!
