After the auditions episodes and selecting Top 12 contestants we have reached a new level. In this episode we learn more about each of the Top 12 contestants and their opinions and motives that why participated in Afghan Star program.

 

Qasim Shahid was born in an intellectual family almost 20 years ago in Balkh province. He is a very sociable person with having a lot of passion for music. It has been three years since he has been learning music professionally under Ustad Omid Mohammad Sultani’s tutelage.

 

Mansoor Aryan was born in 1995 in Kabul and currently he is a junior student in Music Department at the Fine Arts faculty of Kabul University. He was only ten years old when he started learning music.

 

Ramin Popal was born in 1999 in Kabul. He was very interested to learn music when he was only thirteen years old. He has studied music at National Music Institute 6 years of studying he graduated and pursued music under the tutelage of Ustad Ehsan Irfan and his singing style is Ghazal. 

 

Zeba Hamidi was born in 1997 in Karachi, Pakistan. She has lived for 17 years in Iran and has done schooling in an Iranian school as well. She has studied music for six months in Iran and she says that people’s sorrows and grievances have led her to become a musician. She sings rap songs.

 

Jaweed Sameer was bron in 1993 in Kabul province. He started to learn music when he was 17 years old. He has simultaneously learned music under his brother’s guidance and he is graduated from high school.

 

Sahar Aryan was born in 1992 in Sheraaz, Iran. She was only 15 years old when started to pursue a career in music. She has studied music professionally for two years and is passionate to become one of the leading stars in music world.

 

Shafi Sherzai is a university student and he started learning music professionally three two years ago. His singing style is Ghazal and he believes that we will be this year’s Afghan Star.

 

Habibullah Fani was born in 1993 in Kunduz province. He has been studying Computer Science and he was only 12 years old when started to learn music. 

 

Kawa Akbari was born in 1979 in Herat province and currently he lives in Hamburg, Germany. He has learned music professionally under guidance of Ustad Manocheher Jafari and it has been almost 6 years that he has started his music career.

 

Tawab Noori was born in 1995 in an intellectual family in Balkh province and currently he is studying Accounting Institute in Balkh province. One year ago he started to learn music under Ustad Rohullah Esmati’s tutelage.

 

Rashed Arya, born in 1993, joined the Fine Arts High School – Kabul – When he was 11 years old to pursue a career in classical music. He is currently studying western classical singing at Kabul University and he has a vocal range of 3 octaves and considers his voice to be a tenor.
